What Is Plant Mover Training?
Plant Mover Training is designed for people who need to move or reposition plant machinery but are not required to carry out the machine's normal operational duties.
The NPORS N132 Plant Mover course is suitable for employees who may need to move machinery around construction sites, depots, workshops, storage yards, compounds or industrial workplaces.
This can include repositioning equipment, moving plant for maintenance, organising storage areas or relocating machinery safely within the workplace.
Candidates learn how to identify the machine and its controls, carry out appropriate pre-use checks, prepare the plant for movement, start and manoeuvre it safely, maintain awareness of people and surrounding hazards, position the machine correctly and leave it in a safe condition after use.
The course also covers machine stability, restricted and confined areas, pedestrian interaction, communication with banksmen, site hazards and safe parking and shutdown procedures.
Training is available at our Tewkesbury training centre or, for suitable company bookings, we can deliver on-site Plant Mover Training throughout the UK using machinery relevant to the candidates' workplace.
Whether you're new to moving plant, need refresher training or are an experienced worker requiring assessment, we'll help you identify the appropriate training route.
Training is accredited through NPORS under the N132 Plant Mover category, with in-house certification also available where appropriate.
